Seetalabs specializes in the creation of advanced predictive analysis services and has as its mission the transformation of artificial intelligence into an intuitive, fast, and economical tool aimed at anyone who needs to interpret and manage the complexity of the data. We want to increase human potential, not replace it. Unscheduled power outages generate very high economic, social, and environmental damage. With the help of an international team of experts, Seetalabs has created its first intelligent model for predictive analysis for remote, real-time, and hyper precise evaluation of key assets in the energy sector such as power transformers, turbines etc. It is also applicable to robots and hyper-connected terrestrial and space equipment, allowing companies and public bodies to save resources, respect the environment, reduce management costs, increase efficiency, and quality of service.
We have developed the world’s first predictive analytics model to meet the industrial standards of asset management in the power transformer industry. It is built using machine learning techniques and purely scientific in nature. We have named it as Ronin, which in Japanese means a samurai warrior without a master. Large power transformers are machines, with a variable cost in the order of millions of Euros, which transform the energy produced by power plants into a form that can be used by ordinary homes, hospitals, airports, railways, industry and more general by the entire chain of end users such as, but not limited to, the charging stations for electric vehicles. Through Ronin, we solve the problem of preventive and mass diagnostics of these devices, currently onerous and complex, with an online system based on artificial intelligence that can rapidly and remotely investigate the health of such machines. The system can be used immediately through an intuitive web interface, and is also designed to be transferred to devices with programmable on-board logic of any type of machinery and is able to interface with any communication protocol via the internet. All this allows to:
- Exponentially increase the human capacity to analyze the large amount of data generated by transformers;
- Prevent costly breakdowns, blackouts and service interruptions by reducing the probability of their occurrence;
- Save money in terms of maintenance costs by reducing the cost for monitoring up to 1/50 compared to the current one;
- Reduce health and safety risks for operators carrying out diagnostic investigations, avoiding costly intercontinental travel;
- Reduce the insurance premium thanks to the containment of the default risk of the machinery;
- Increase the rating and the appeal for investors deriving from the ability to monitor the state of obsolescence and functioning of its tangible assets in very large fleets of machinery;

The global transformer market will grow by 8-10% in 2020-2030, the evolution of smart grids will make transformer management very expensive (+ 10% last 5 years), and complex with an exponential increase in distribution of data generated from various built-in or plugged devices/monitors. The market for power transformers with rated power greater than 10MVA in 2019 was equal to 180 billion dollars while the "service maintenance" market was worth 27 billion dollars and, of the latter, the "condition monitoring" sub-group was worth about half billion dollars.
Seetalabs aims to achieve a production value between 1.5% and 7% of the condition monitoring market in the first 5 years of activity.
Seetalabs issues usage licenses based on the “voucher” of the diagnosis number that the customer needs.
The vouchers are single, 10, 100, 500 and fleet, with expiration customized as per customer's needs. The platform provides for the periodic integration of new additional functions, which remain free for 14 days, with the aim of encouraging and monitoring customer needs through a release and demo strategy inspired by the gaming sector. For all new customers the first add-on is free forever and on first access a live demo session led by one of our experts and a free trial with full functionality for 14 days are guaranteed. A guaranteed online assistance system is included in all standard packages. For "Enterprise" customers, a dataset pre-processing service is provided upon request to optimize the analysis experience.
The revenue model is hybrid:

Lastly, the commercial strategy provides specific referrals for dealers operating in three target areas at a global level with the recognition of different levels of incentives.
The competition is mainly made up of foreign engineering companies specializing in analysis and inspection / maintenance services. These companies have developed some traditional tools and models that are based on a scientific approach. However, they have many limitations (high user specialization, complex interface, and poor usability, inability to learn and adapt the system, inability to detect situations outside the context Input / output typical of legacy models, it is necessary to collect a lot of data to obtain a satisfactory result) and are exponentially costlier than Ronin. The main difference compared to the linear logic software, complex and rigid, present in the market today is that Ronin has the ability to learn and continuously optimize itself based on the type of equipment analyzed and modifies its behavior according to the conditions in which the machinery (tropicalization, weather conditions, hidden failures). Ronin is also extremely intuitive and versatile from the point of view of user experience, kept strictly online and protected from cyber attacks, overcomes the rigid structure of traditional stand-alone software, increasing its portability. This versatility allows new verticalizations to be built on the code stack in a very short time without changing the experience of those who have already chosen to use it. Lastly, only 1/5 of the data is needed compared to traditional systems, thus allowing a simpler and more reliable interpretation of the transformer status even by less experienced users, thus leaving asset managers more time to focus on overall management.

The technology used by Ronin is based on artificial intelligence and on the optimization of some machine learning techniques applied to a scientific model developed by the Seetalabs team. We have cut the number of indicators needed from 63 to 14, thereby making a significant reduction in the existing monitoring costs and time requirements, which thus passes from one week to six seconds. The system allows mass analysis of thousands of machines or simply of historical data series, for example weekly analysis of fleet data, thereby allowing generation of trends in real time, not only on the state of the single device but also on an entire fleet of machines, whether localized or distributed. Due to this versatility, the model has a potential for application and verticalization in various industrial sectors, making it innovative also from the point of view of scalability.
